Seminars, Labor Day, and Work
It's time to catch up , so let us tell you about what has been going in our world.
In the past two weeks, we've had a lot of excitement. August 31st we had the pleasure of driving to Charleston, WV to see a program by Australian photographer Tero Sade. This program was incredible to say the least. Jam packed of information, ideas, and inspiration. Plus there were only eight other people there in attendance. Generally at photographic seminars like this, there are anywhere from 80-150 or more. To have this little of an attendance really made it an amazing experience. We had a great time meeting everyone there, Tero and his wife, and we learned so much.
Following the program, we headed north to Ohio. Ohio is our home state where we were born. We spent the weekend with family and taking a break from construction on the studio. On our last day in Ohio we had the pleasure of spending some time with our friend Dave Lesko, whom runs a very successful studio (Lesko Photography) in Beaver Creek, Ohio. Again, another photographic experience we had in those few days. It was just nice to see Dave, talk, visit and share information.
Over the weekend, we did realize one thing. We volunteered to host the September VPPA meeting of the Blue Ridge District at our new studio. This only led to one thing : working our butts off that week. We were back in Roanoke Tuesday night and Thursday through Monday we were working at the studio. The meeting was on Monday so we had to paint, lay floors, hang photos, install lights, etc. We are happy to announce we got it done. We still have a few minor things to do, but on Wednesday the 12th, we have our first appointment. We really can't wait for everyone to see our studio and gallery in person. Till then, here are a couple of photographs for you to enjoy:

Till the next time, continue to check our blog for updates & special offers. Check the site and tell your friends about us.
