Kelley's Senior Session - A Rave Review

Over the weekend, we had the great opportunity to photograph a local high school senior, Kelley. Talk about fun! With her mom, Brenda, along for support, our creativity flowed! We always devote special attention to our clients so we were able to develop something totally unique, all the while creating a special experience. It is our mission to make sure we give our clients an amazing experience at Muncy Fine Photography. With the warm comments Brenda posted on our Facebook pages, I think we did just that:

"I wanted to let you know that we had the best time yesterday. I know that it is your business and you are good to everyone, but yesterday you made it all about Kelley. It was so much fun!!! .Thank you for treating us like we were the most important people on earth! Can't wait to see the finished product! God bless you!"

"I wanted to comment on this page as well as Muncy Seniors Page. This was such a fun experience for me and Kelley both! We have had portraits done in the past that were so rehearsed that we just knew the pictures would look like everyone else's; that there were fake backgrounds; that they were "cookie cutter" sessions with no personal reflection of personality at all. So, we thank you, we love your work and recommend you highly! And we haven't even seen the finished product yet!!!"

When you have your portraits created at Muncy Fine Photography, by our expert photographers, you will never receive the same generic treatment you do at the "standard" portrait studios. You receive a work of art! Our work is not rushed and never looks like every other portrait. We take pride in the quality of our work and make it a point to provide each and every client with an amazing, personalized experience. Plus, you receive artisitcally crafted portraits that will endure a lifetime!

Muncy Fine Photography Photographs The City Market Building's Opening Ceremonies

Yesterday, September 3rd, 2011, we had the great honor of photographing the City Market Building's opening ceremonies as well as the evening's Charter Hall Gala event. We felt privileged that the City of Roanoke and Hall & Associates selected us to capture this historic day for the greater Roanoke Valley. The day was filled with lots of great activities for the general public, sampling of the new market fare and Charter Hall was once again filled with song, music, laughter and friendly faces. We had a great time photographing these special events and are excited to see the City Market Building, and Charter Hall, thrive once again!

Master Craftsman

In most industries, there are many ways to gain recognition among one’s peers and to achieve a higher level of success in mastering your craft. This is true within the professional photography profession. That’s why Bruce and Brian Muncy are members of the Professional Photographers of America, Virginia Professional Photographers Association and Professional Photographers of Ohio of which Bruce is a lifetime member awarded for his service to the organization. Bruce and Brian both attend seminars and workshops presented by these professional organizations to further their education, discover new products and ideas and to expand their creativity and art. Through continuing education professional photographers like Bruce and Brian can earn their professional degrees based upon many criteria on both the state, regional and national level. The Professional Photographers of America is the largest non-profit photographic association in the world, and offers a variety of professional degrees and merits. Needless to say, a professional degree from PPA holds a lot of prestige in the photography industry. Our state organization also offers the opportunity to receive degrees and merits. Brian is expected to receive his first degree from VPPA in February.

Many of you may or may not know, that Bruce holds a Master’s Craftsman Degree from PPA. The Master Craftsman Degree is one of the highest degrees which PPA awards. One can spend years attempting to earn a Master Craftsman Degree. Achieving a dual degree is not only based upon image quality but, other accomplishments, speaking, teaching, and furthering your education. For the past 27 years, Bruce has been the only Master Craftsman of Photography in the Roanoke Valley. He is also a “Associate” Fellow of the American Society of Photographers and was one of the first 26 photographers in the United States to be so awarded.
